To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Exeter u3a, and to allow non-members to learn about the activities that we undertake, the following events will be open to anybody. In some cases available capacity is limited and booking is recommended:

Official opening of 30th Anniversary Celebrations at St Stephens Church by Lord Lieutenant at 10am.
Group activities at St Stephens - 10am to 4pm: - Art and Artists, Still Life Drawing, Joy of Poetry, Creative Writing, Choir, Patchwork and Quilting, Chinese and Japanese Brush Writing, Photography, Joy of Performing, Science and Board Games for Fun
City Wildlife Walk - 11:30am
Meet on the High Street outside St Stephen's church. We are fortunate that Exeter has many parks and has city limits that encompass a tidal estuary as well as the wooded hills. This ensures that we have a large range of wildlife within walking distance of our homes. Rooks still nest in Southernhay, and there are Swifts, Swallows, House and Sand Martin's to see elsewhere, so it isn't all Pigeons and Gulls! In this walk we will see what wildlife we can discover in an hour of strolling near the city centre including some of the nearest parks.
Circle Dancing at the library – 10am to midday
Languages at the library – 10am to 12.00 midday
We are meeting at the Exeter Library for lively conversation. There are several European Language groups at Exeter u3a: French, German, Italian and Spanish. We also have the Linguistics Group with us, touching upon the formation and history of English and other languages and dialects.
