This group was originally just called Chinese Brush Writing, but has been re-launched as "Chinese and Japanese Brush-Writing". So why has it changed its name? If you were to ask anyone in the street if they knew any Japanese words, they would probably say ‘No’. But if you asked them if they knew the meaning of kimono, Fuji, saké, geisha, sushi, samurai, judo, futon, tsunami, bonsai or origami, they would say ‘Yes’. We still welcome people who have an interest in China; those who would like to draw the characters for ‘Long Life’ and ‘Happiness’, or to write some sayings of Mencius or Confucius.
This group will run when there is sufficient interest from members on Monday (and possibly other) mornings at 10:30am in Topsham.
