Having Fun in the Countryside
We aim to have a minimum of three Devon coastal or country walks per month:
- Walkie Talkies-1st Thursday of the month, 3-5 miles on relatively flat and easy terrain.
- Striders-2nd Thursday 5-7 miles with more varied and challenging terrain.
- Hikers-4th Tuesday 7-10 miles again with more varied and challenging terrain.
You are free to go on any of the walks as they are all part of The Walking Group but please be realistic about your personal walking abilities before undertaking the longer walks, and if unsure, start with the easiest and work up.
Most walks are organised around Stagecoach bus routes, which prove very popular for use of our free travel bus passes, although Train and Cars are also used.
