The group has been active for nearly two years. We approach philosophy from "a practical" perspective looking at how it has implications for lived experience and helps to make sense of the world at the individual level. We do not follow any single text and members suggest areas of interest, many of which are worldly concerns, for which I supply a selection of resources giving a broad philosophical perspective on what we are going to to discuss. It doesn't matter if anyone has "no knowledge whatsoever of philosophy" - the purpose of the group is to learn and share and, most importantly, to have some fun!
For further information and details of how to join please contact Simon using the Convenor link above.
This group is nearing capacity but please contact Simon if you are interested in joining. Exeter u3a has 3 Philosophy groups to ensure that we can accommodate new members. If one group is at capacity when you enquire, the Convenor will discuss alternative options with you.
